The residents of the Keamari area in Karachi are going through a tough time because of the toxic gas in the air. However, the source or even the property of the gas has not been identified yet.
So far the only progress reported is the issuance of evacuation orders for the residents. People have been protesting against the government to give them an answer reflecting anger in the air. The report is due in the next two days. This report will probably throw some light on the current situation.
So far 82 patients have been taken to hospital and the majority of them have been released since they did not show any serious symptoms.
Meanwhile, rumors about the diseases are being circulated which is creating a critical situation for the government and the residents.
Previously, the reason identified for the gas spill was soybean dust. However, American ships have been checked for any signs but no hazards have been found.
Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi and Provincial Minister for Local Government Sindh Nasir Hussain Shah held a meeting to discuss the current chaotic situation.
