LHC Permits The PPP ChaloPindiChalo Plan

Benazir Bhutto’s anniversary will be celebrated by holding a rally in Liaqat Bagh where the former prime minister was assassinated. This will be Benazir’s 11th death anniversary.

Lahore high court has permitted the Peoples Pakistan Party (PPP) gave permission today for holding the rally. However, the request was rejected by the district administration previously. Judge, Malik Shahzad Gehba of Rawalpindi heard the petition.

Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner, Saifullah Dogar told in a notification issued regarding the matter that their police have advised not to allow any public gathering because of the present security conditions.

Now PPP has been given permission to hold the rally on December 27.

Further, Justice Malik has questioned about PPP being singled out from all other political parties. He asked, “City police officer, you cannot provide security to PPP leader Bilawal Bhutto? What is the benefit of  CPO if he cannot provide security to a national leader?”

It was directed to give full security to the people participating in the rally.
