NEPRA Approves An Increment Of Rs 0.86 Per Unit

An increment of Rs 0.86 per unit in power tariff has been approved by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA). This has been done in an attempt to adjust the cost of the electricity.

These adjustments will be charged in the next bill.

This was done on the request of the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) responsible for sorting out the electricity price by the power regulator.

This tariff will be an additional burden on the electric power consumers.

National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has also imposed a fine of Rs200 million on K-Electric over excessive load shedding in Karachi in the month of June & July.
