Pak v Aus 2022- Imam Ul Haque Shines!
Today, in Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Team Green and the Aussies were seen playing against each other in the first test match put on the agenda. Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat, which also just moved in their favor, as we saw for ourselves. The massive hits, with controlled wickets, and leaving almost space for the men in yellow to stand straight- Team Green was striking from the left-right and center!
The opening was done by Abdullah Shafique as well as Imam Ul Haque, which was going smooth until Abdullah Shafique got out, leaving a score of 105 for one wicket. It was Nathon Lyon who managed to take the first and last wicket of the day. Imam Ul Haque was then joined by Azhar Ali, who took his desired time to settle in on the pitch, as Imam stood firm and hit 15 fours and two sixes. Imam ul Haque, at 271 balls hit a three-digit score of 132, successfully hitting his century, especially since this is his first test match after 2019. A great return, I must say.

Speaking to the media, Imam thanked the Almighty and also expressed how happy he is to have had made his father proud, especially. He spoke about how he had been the twelfth man for quite some time and this was the time he’d been waiting for. He proceeded with mentioning how the nets have been his go-to place, to practice and practice, the outcome of which is now being witnessed.
Great innings, with stadiums packed by spectators. It’s beyond just great to see Pakistan host team Australia after 24 years, and the constant struggle to battle off terrorism also going hand in hand.
