Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Onto Initiate Direct Flights To The United States From 2020

Local media has reported that the organization is almost done with the preparation process and is ready to start direct flights from April 2020.

This decision has been made on the basis of the progress recorded according to which there is a decrease in operation losses from Rs. 3 billion to Rs. 1.5 billion monthly. These statistics have been reported by the CEO of PIA Air Marshal Arshad Mahmood Malik.

He gave this grand news while talking with the members of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI). He said, “The reduction in operational losses became possible only due to day-night efforts of PIA team comprising those officers who have been working at PIA for last many years,”. He also identified that many problems are still to be catered to. More so, he also informed the audience that the revenue generated was mostly used up in debt servicing.
