Pakistanis can now visit Saudi Arab without Visa?

The Saudi government has recently introduced multiple entry visa policy under which Pakistanis could now get a visa on arrival that will be valid for one year. The visitors will be allowed to perform umrah but NOT hajj.

The visitor can get a visa on arrival from any Saudi Arabian international airport. However, at the time of acquiring a visa, the visitor will have to pay SR 440 (i.e 18000 PKR) through credit card. No cash will be accepted, so having a valid credit card is compulsory. The visitor will be allowed to stay for 90 days at a stretch and can enter the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia multiple times during the validity period of their visit visa.

Ahmed Qureshi, a Pakistani citizen who recently visited Saudi Arabia with his family to perform umrah shares his experience of acquiring visa on arrival from King Abul Aziz international airport Saudi Arab, he said

It was an amazing experience when I visited Saudi Arabia last week, I paid fee at the immigration counter using my credit card and now all my family members have multiple visit visas valid for one year. It took just 15 minutes to complete the procedure,”.

Saudi Arabia has however imposed a condition to get a visit visa on arrival. It is mandatory to travel through Saudi-based airlines like Saudi Airlines, Flynas or Flydeal. This condition is for someone who is a first-time visitor, repeat visitors who already hold a Saudi visit visa can use any other airline.

Requirements for visa on arrival

  • Valid passport for at least six months
  • Valid US, UK or Schengen visa stamped on the passport
  • The US, UK or Schengen visa must be utilized for at least once before entering Saudi Arabia
  • Applicant must hold a credit card as no cash payment is accepted
  • Application fee SR440 for each applicant
  • One-year-multiple visa
  • Maximum stay 90 days
  • Umrah is allowed but visit visa holder cannot perform Hajj.

As per the information, the service is started last month.
