Smibli Reserve Forest To Be Transformed Into Salt Range National Park

Usman Buzdar, Chief Minister of Punjab, has decided to Smibli (North) Reserve Forest as Salt Range National Park, for which a provincial cabinet meeting was held yesterday (Thursday).

An area of 13700 acres is covered by Simbli (North) Reserve Forest which will be transformed into Salt Range National Park according to the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan as reported by Buzdar.

A notification has been issued in this regard which bans hunting activities and cutting of trees.

A management committee has been constituted as directed by the CM Buzdar.

Maj. (R) Azam Suleman, the provincial ombudsman, and senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan will constitute an interim policy for releasing wheat to the flour mills in 2020-2021.

Policy recommendations will be submitted to the committee. The Cooperative Societies Act, 1925, and The Punjab Undesirable Cooperative Societies Dissolution Act, 1993 will be sent for approval of amendments.
