The South Punjab Secretariat was recognized last year in August 2020 as a major government first step to address the sense of deficiency among the people of southern Punjab.
During a one-day trip to Multan, PM Khan will also inaugurate some public welfare as well as development projects.
The supply of Kisan cards among farmers is also scheduled for the PM.
The welfare projects scheduled for inauguration by PM Khan are E-Khidmat Center, Labour Housing Colony Industrial Estate Phase I, and a new shelter home building.
Five Miyawaki forests under the Clean and Green Pakistan campaign and the rehabilitation project of Multan-Mattital road will be launched by the PM.
PM Imran Khan will also initiate a shelter in Multan, a 200-bed mother and child Hospital in Ghalla Godam Multan, and 10 water filtration plants. The shelter is included in a project to build accommodations or panagahs in all divisional headquarters of Punjab.
Last week, according to the Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab on Information Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, the government is giving privileges to the people of South Punjab at their access.
She stated that the South Punjab Secretariat is important progress towards the South Punjab province as it would begin a new era of development.

According to her, the government has cancelled the policy of selective development, and development of all the areas as well as regions has been ensured as the welfare of the masses is the fundamental task of every democratic government.
