Lawyers Turn Violent After Demolition of Chambers In Islamabad

After the demolition of the chambers in the district/session court of Islamabad, on Monday the furious lawyers broke into the building of Islamabad High Court (IHC) and attacked police officers, journalists, and other staff members.
The mad crowd of lawyers then also entered the IHC Chief Justice chamber and vandalized the property.
They also hurled the stones outside the building and chanted slogans against the responsible administration and the chief justice.
They also harassed the news reporter covering the incident and their team to stop them.
Deputy Registrar Chaudhry Shafiq’s chamber was also forcefully entered into and vandalized by the crowd of lawyers. They also physically attacked him. After this, they vandalized IHC Chief Justice Chamber and forced him to leave his office.
Various Police officials, other security personnel, and journalists were injured during the violent protests. Many lawyers also sustained injuries as well. Rescue officials reached on time and gave first aid to the injured.

Heavy police enforcement then reached the place of the event and shout down all entrance/exit routes to the High Court. Deputy Commissioner Islamabad and DIG Operation also reached the IHC to control the situation
