PM Imran Khan Summons Emergency Plan For Safeguarding Health Workers Amid COVID-19

PM Imran Khan has taken the notice of doctors and paramedical staff getting infected drastically with COVID-19 across the country while doing their noble job. This step has been taken to provide the frontline service providers to fight the battle against COVID-19

A plan has been summoned by the PM Imran Khan on Tuesday in this regard for safeguarding the medics from COVID-19.

Ministry of Health and National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) officials have taken the responsibility to build up the plan and brief Imran Khan to protect the doctors from getting infected.

The statistics about the casualties in medic staff provided by the Ministry for National Health and Emergency Services suggest that taking action is need of the time.

A total of 23 health workers have lost their battle against the disease and the total number of affected numbers have reached 2193. 628 have been treated so far.

“1185 of them are self-isolating at their homes,” it said as 789 health workers were discharged after being recovered from the infection (ARY News).
