Punjab Government Allows Construction Industry To Operate 24/7

The Punjab government has allowed construction businesses to operate 7 days a week and 24 hours a day.  Previously, retail outlets were not allowed to open in order to contain the spread of the Covid-19. This affected the whole chain of the construction business.

This decision will create new opportunities for the whole chain. The decision has been made as there was a visible drop in Covid-19 cases.

However, the businesses will still have to follow standard operating procedures. “Businesses that failed to follow the SOPs will be closed immediately,” the notification said.

The Textile Mills have been fully functional from the last three months according to All Pakistan Textile Mills Association Punjab chairman.

The other retail markets will operate according to the previous timings until the government comes up with new timings for them.

Restaurants, marriage halls, will remain closed. Many provinces have appealed to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to reopen them too.
