Punjab Govt to Establish Ration Cards and Fair Prices Shops!

Punjab Industries, Commerce and Investment Department has presented an idea to Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan to introduce Ration Cards and Fair Prices Shops for the well-being of nation’s masses and to reduce inflation in the province.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Khan has approved the plan and directed to implement it at earliest.

According to the proposed plan, ration cards would be distributed among those needy people who receive electricity bill of up-to PKR 2000 monthly. they can buy free ration of up-to rupees 2500 on presenting that ration card.

Furthermore, fair prices shops would be established in different parts of the district where the grocery items would be sold at controlled prices. Actually the shops will be funded by district govt and will be monitored closely. However, the shop owners instead of earning through profits will be getting salaries from government.

The plan will be implemented on district levels in all over the Punjab.
