Renovation Of Railway Stations In Pakistan Begins On The Order Of Government
The Central Development Working Party approved the renovation of the railway stations in 2018 and in this attempt, six railway stations have also been updated.
The government of the country has decided to allocate a budget of allocated Rs50 million in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), 2020-21 for the up-gradation.

The renovation five railway stations that are Hassan Abdal, Nakana Sahib, Peshawar Cantonment, Karachi Cantonment and Lahore are under procedure and are expected to be completed in the coming few days.
Renovation of Bahawalpur, Raiwind, Narowal, Okara, Sahiwal and Gujranwala station have already been completed.
This step was taken to facilitate the passengers and give the railway stations a contemporary look.
The tenders for two major railway stations of Rawalpindi and Rohri are under review.

Railway official said, “Pakistan Railways is also planning to reconstruct 11 bridges and repair another 55 across the country to ensure the smooth operation of trains and safety of the passengers.”
