The cabinet also approved Rs7.10 billion to facilitate the residents of DG Khan and Sahiwal divisions with free medical services under the first phase of the universal health insurance programme.
According to the CM, the Punjab province’s whole population will be provided free health coverage, worth Rs7.20 lakh, by December this year, and he directed the health department to accelerate the procurement of the coronavirus vaccine.
The cabinet approved an amendment in the Punjab Board of Revenue Act, 1957 for an early decision of revenue cases by withdrawing the right of second review appeal in revenue cases.
It also approved to provide financial assistance to the rain-affected cities including Hafizabad, Sahiwal, Okara, Pakpattan and other districts for death and financial losses compensation and the CM instructed for prompt measures in this regard.
Official approval of Imran Amin as CEO of Ravi Urban Development Authority on merit as well as the nomination of new members was given on the occasion.
In the same way, to authorise deputy commissioners for transferring and modification of arms licences, an amendment to Punjab Arms Rules, 2017 was approved.

Over five years older private vehicles will now have to get a road fitness certificate whereas three-wheeler motorcycle rickshaws will also be charged for traffic law violations under the Punjab Green Development Programme.
