All Billboards In Karachi To Be Removed

The Supreme Court has ordered to remove of all the advertising billboards all over the city.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmed, held a hearing in an attempt to remove all the installed billboards on the public and private properties.

The hearing has been scheduled after the video clip of the accident showing two bike riders injured by a billboard went viral. Karachi Commissioner Iftikhar Ali Shalwani has started removing the billboards after noticing the incident.

“See buildings on Shahrah-e-Faisal, there are unending advertisements,” said Gulzar Ahmed. The task was assigned to the commissioner by the Chief justice.

The commissioner claimed that public properties were being exploited and revealed that there was a mafia behind it. Commissioner has been directed to mushroom all the billboards.
