Three Sewerage Drains Almost Cleaned; 30,000 Tons Of Dirt Lifted

The Frontier Works Organization (FWO) is done with cleaning the three main sewerage drains of Karachi on the fourth day of the clearance operations. 

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA)was assigned the duty by the Prime Minister himself to cleaned the sewerage drains in Karachi.

The FWO is still in the middle of cleaning the port city.

. “The cleaning work of these sewerage drains will be completed by this evening,” the spokesperson said.

“The FWO has cleared Gujjar nullah, 95 percent, Korangi nullah, 100 percent and 90 percent of Muwachh Goth till now,” he added.

40 out of 42 chocked points have been cleared in three sewerage drains.

 “Gujjar nullah, 89pc, Korangi nullah, 85pc and 75 pc of Mawach Goth nullah has been cleared”, said the NDMA spokesperson.

About 85,00 tons of garbage has been removed in one day and a total of 30,000 tons has been lifted from the three drains so far.

NDMA and FWO are working in collaboration and therefore have been in contact with each other. Prime Minister has been kept in the loop for this purpose.
