The 41st meeting of the provisional Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has permitted the procedure of flats’ allotment in Lahore Development Authority (LDA) City Naya Pakistan Apartments. The meeting took place at his office, under Section 19 of management and transfer of properties of Development Authorities Act 2014.

In the meeting, the LDA signed an agreement with the Bank of Punjab for the project, as 4,000 apartments will be built in the first phase.

A flat in the LDA city would cost around Rs 2.75 million. A 50 percent quota will be held for the public, while a 20pc share will be allocated for provincial government employees. 10 percent for federal government employees. and another 20 percent will be reserved for LDA officials. The chief minister also instructed to allocate a special quota for journalists and lawyers.

The meeting approved to promote low-grade employees of the civil secretariat and the decision was taken to promote drivers, auto-electricians, mechanics, and dispatch-riders to the next grade. More than 11 thousand low-grade employees will be facilitated by this.

Approval was also given to a 200-bed mother and child hospital at the venue of the old grain market warehouse in Multan. The amount of Rs500m were announced for it. The meeting also accepted the establishment of two cement plants in Dera Ghazi Khan and Mianwali. The CM directed to further speed up the issuance of No-Objection Certificates to pending applications for more such plants.
