Emergency Imposed In KPK Province Due To Extreme Cold Weather
As per the statement by the relief department of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, an extreme cold weather emergency has been declared in the KPK.

The concerned officials have been directed to give food and shelter to homeless people, Rs 500 would be given to these homeless people included Rs.100 for breakfast and Rs 200 each for lunch and dinner.
This year the cold wave has grasped the whole country and the temperature going below the freezing point in the northern areas of Pakistan.
Last night temperature of Quetta was recorded at -5, however, the water has frozen in pipes and ponds. The temperature of Ziarat recorded below freezing temperatures at -8 and Kalat have also recorded -7 degrees respectively.
Landi Kotal area is covered with snow in Khyber and Orakzai experienced a heavy snowfall which covered the mountainous ranges in the Gilgit Baltistan region.

It is relevant to discuss here that Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has also predicted a new wave of cold weather in Karachi from today, which could break the record of seven years of the lowest temperature in Karachi.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, a system of rainfall has reached in North Balochistan areas which will begin to rain and snowfall in these areas from today
