Reward For Overseas Pakistanis Remitting Money To Pakistan

Zulfi Bukhari, Special Assistant to PM Imran Khan for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development has announced a reward for the overseas Pakistanis who have been using proper banking channels to send remittance to their families.

He made this announcement through a tweet in which he said, “In recognition of our overseas Pakistanis who use banking channels to send money back home, my ministry has proposed to reward them for their contribution to the national exchequer. I will be backing this initiative with full force so in time we can kill the menace of hundi/havala.”

The memo has also been shared in the tweet which clearly reads, ” Accordingly all relevant stakeholders have been requested to furnish the input/proposed privileges to be extended by their organization/department.”

There was good news for those who remit an amount of $100,000 over a period of 2 years can import a duty-free hybrid car (up to 3000cc), if they hold a Foreign Exchange Remittance Card holders.

Previously, Bukhari was very vocal about promoting religious tourism in Pakistan.
