Due to coronavirus pandemic leading to lockdown, the Interior Ministry has announced the manual extension of expired passports and Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs).
The interior ministry has released a nnnotification about the exxxtension for the validity of Machine Readable Passports (MRPs) and Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) till June 30.
The authorities have been ordered to cater to the nationals in the country and abroad. The expired passports will be extended manually on the fee payment of Rs 1000. Record endorsement of a newborn in MRPs of parents will be done against the payment Rs 800.
