Iman Vellani To Play Lead Role In Ms. Marvel

Ms. Marvel has been found. Iman Vellani has been cast to play the role of infamous Ms. Marvel of the Disney+ series of Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Iman Vellani will play the lead role of a teenage superhero of Muslim and Pakistani American dissent who is struggling with her highly religious parents and embracing her shapeshifting superpowers. The character's name is Kamala Khan and is the first Muslim superhero.

There isn’t much known of the Canadian actress Iman Vellani. It will be her debut project in Hollywood.

However, this is not her first connection with the industry itself.  Iman Vellani was part of the 2019 Toronto Film Festival, she was in the Next Wave Committee, where she helped in diversifying the industry.

Previously, Marvel had also announced that Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy will be co-directing the Disney+ series with other famous directors including Adil El Arbi, Bilall Fallah, and Meera Menon.

Iman herself shared this news on her Instagram account exclaiming “Speechless and Excited”.
