Japan ‘s business lobby is calling out its member companies to give suggestions on making the working conditions amid coronavirus. The lobby wants the companies to come up with a four-day workweek, promote teleworking, and introduce flexible business hours in order to avoid jamming of public transportation. This will help in avoiding the spread of coronavirus.
Keidanren, the Japan Business Federation, along with 80 other industrial compiled the guidelines. The government has lifted the state of emergency from 47 prefectures for the resumption of economic activity.
However, the major industrial areas of Japan including Tokyo and Osaka are going to remain under the state of emergency.
“While companies are required to promote steps to prevent the spread of infections, they are also expected to strengthen efforts to contribute to public life through business operations,” the federation said in a release.
Companies have strictly been advised to conduct meetings and interviews and online & avoid nonessential business trips.
