In collaboration with National Bank of Pakistan and Union Pay international Huawei has launched its mobile wallet service in Pakistan. Huawei Pay is first launched in China, Russia, and HongKong and now coming to Pakistan making Pakistan 4th market to get Huawei mobile wallet service using Huawei Pay.

“The launch of Huawei Pay will establish exceptional digital wallet experiences for Pakistani consumers. Huawei has always been very active and has participated greatly in a Pakistani market that contributed directly to the country’s national economy. Also, the expansion of business created more business opportunities for youth.

Initially, the company launched the Huawei Pay service for the Chinese market back in 2016. The project is a joint venture of Huawei and Union Pay International. How Huawei Pay will Work?

Any Huawei or Honor user could use Huawei Pay. There is no need to present NBP card. The Huawei or Honor smartphone user will just have to add NBP cards to Huawei Wallet on your phone, scan the in-store UnionPay QR code and finalize your payment.

UnionPay QR code scanning will probably available on most devices including mid-range ones. High-end smartphones will have a more convenient tap-to-pay function soon when the merchants are ready to accept contactless payments.
