Pakistani Musician Ali Sethi Makes It To Legendary Time Square Christmas Display

Christmas Holiday Time Square will feature the music of Pakistani singer Ali Sethi. It will be a special video display.

This display has been sponsored by Beijing Century Foundation and Times Square. It is Future Tradition video that celebrates the work of Du YunPulitzer Prize-winning composer. Her collaborators will also feature in the video and Sethi is one of them. Du Yun work has been known for genre-bending.

Sethi said regarding him featuring, ” I feel honoured to be a part of this display,” “I have always believed in our musical traditions, in their power to win hearts and change minds, and I feel so proud to represent them before the world.” There will be other pieces of Yun’s work in the video too.

The artist has been trained in classical music. He has done a number of international collaborations like back in 2012 film hit The Reluctant Fundamentalist.

The display will run on Dember 15th to December 21st. The display will run twice a day on thirteen screens.
