Petrol Shortage To Worsen In Pakistan

Petrol shortage in the country is more likely get worsen as most of the oil companies are left with a limited stock.This will add more misery in the life of common people.

Sameer Najmul Hassan, the chairman of All Pakistan Petroleum Retailers Association (APPRA) revealed that the petrol companies areabout to run of their stock in next three days.

The new quota is not being purchased as the quota of the companies have been decreased consistently. No companies are purchasing oil other than Pakistan State Oil (PSO) as revealed by APPRA.

“The situation seems to be going from bad to worse until Sunday,” he warned.

There are many speculations about the artificial shortage being created amid coronavirus pandemic as government has lowered the prices of the petroleum based products. In this regard, an inquiry is being conducted by Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP).
