PIA Defers The Flight Operation To China and Japan Because of Coronavirus

The deadly virus which has claimed 2400 lives (dominantly in China) has led the national carrier to suspend all the flights to and from China and Japan till March 15.

The step has been taken in order to reduce the risk of coronavirus from entering Pakistan.

The spokesperson said, ” PIA flights to Beijing and Tokyo will not depart from today.” He also added, ” Travelers of these cities have been notified in advance.”

Pakistan has also closed borders with Iran yesterday as the number of cases being reported in the Islamic state to keep on rising.

Many Pakistani pilgrims have also been restricted not to visit Iran for any religious activities for now. Hundreds of pilgrims have been called back from China and Taftan border. More so, new check posts have been developed for monitoring the movement.

Iran has reported 8 deaths so far which is the highest number of deaths by any other country other than China.
