Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) was not given the permission to land the Gilgit Airport and flew back to the airport it departed from. The permission was denied because of the windy storm.
PK-605 flight took off from Islamabad International Airport was supposed to land in Gilgit. However, Air Traffic Control (ATC) officials did not give permission when the pilot asked for it because of the strong winds.
The plane had to be diverted back to Islamabad on denial of permission.

It is important to mention that PK-8303 had crashed in Model Colony near Jinnah International Airport in Karachi claiming the life of 99 people on board. Only 2 have managed to survive.
CAA has become alarmed because of the incident.
