Dr. Arif Alvi, the President of Pakistan recorded an important message on Tuesday regarding the Federal Ombudsman Office. He highlighted the effective use of the Federal Ombudsman Online portal and said the citizens are unaware of how this body works. He says that more and more citizens should make use of Federal ombudsman online portal to register complaints against any department of the federation.
The President of Pakistan while highlighting the functioning of Federal ombudsman Office he told about the Institutions of the office. There are five of them,
- Wafaqi Mohtasib,
- Mohtasib for Taxation,
- Mohtasib for Banking,
- Mohtasib for Insurance, &
- Mohtasib for Women Harassment.
The President is the final appellate authority. Approx 100,000 cases were decided in 2019.
