Saudi Arabia has decided to lift the restriction on international flights from September 15. However, the categories are going to be exceptional as reported by the state news agency SPA.
The nationals will be only allowed to travel after January 1. 2021.
The restriction was implemented in March in an attempt to halt the spread of coronavirus.
These exceptional categories include public and military sector employees, diplomats and their families. Those working for public or non-profit private sector jobs abroad, businessmen, patients who need treatment abroad, those studying abroad as well as people with humanitarian cases, and sports teams will also be allowed to travel.
Those who are residents of the kingdom will only be allowed after testing negative for Covid-19.
