Syeda Marzia Al-Zahra gets the honor of becoming the first-ever woman to take charge as a station manager in the Pakistan railway.

Syeda Marzia Al-Zahra becomes the very first female to become station manager in Pakistan Railway. As per reports Syeda who was appointed in Pakistan railway as Assistant Transport Officer Lahore handed over additional charge of station manager Lahore.  

Sources suggest that she gets the honor of becoming the first-ever woman to take charge as a station manager in the Pakistan railway. Furthermore, Zahra has replaced station master, Younis Bhatti.

However, on the other hand, the Railway Sampars Union has called for a protest against the appointment of CSP officer in the post of the station manager.

Union Central Chairman Muhammad Irfan, while expressing reservations over the appointment, said that if the notification was not canceled, the union would protest.

As a consequence, as per the decision of authorities, within 24 hours M. Yaqoob replaced her as a new station manager.
