Tribute to 144 lost lives of Army Public School, Peshawar
Black Day for the whole country with grief fresh in hearts and eyes full of tears. The memory of Army Public School, Peshawar would never fade.
It’s been seven years since the deadly attack on Army Public School, Peshawar. However, the story of sorrow and the pain of tragedy is beyond measure even for those who are not directly associated with the innocent martyrs.
Sadly, this day reminds us of the fact that little children were dragged into the pit of political prejudices and had to pay with their lives. To this day, it’s so disturbing to remember that a few humans had to sink to the level of insanity and martyr unarmed kids and teachers in the school just because they were an easy bait.
The memory of valor and courage displayed by the teachers and students would always stay fresh in our minds and are everlasting examples of not backing down in the face of evil.
The brave parents who take pride in their children’s martyrdom are walking examples of strength and sacrifice for the country. People from so many parts of the country gathered today and lit candles for the remembrance of innocent lives whose future closed with their eyes.
On Wednesday, parents of a few children gathered and organized a Quran Khwani for martyrs and remembered this day with grief and hope of a better educational environment for their living children.
Parents are heartbroken by the government’s silence on the matter. Also, there is an uproar about PTI’s negotiations with TTP about future peace when in fact, this terrorist organization is the reason for the 2014’s massacre.
Earlier in October, the Chief Justice of Pakistan summoned PM Imran Khan for the charges of not taking any action against the mass murderers ever since he started his rule. The PM promised to take action and asked for three weeks to submit the report of progress.
Let’s hope parents, the judiciary, and the government would collectively make an effort to hang all those involved in the attack. However, a big percentage of aggressors have been executed about a month ago.
