Visa Regimes For Afghans To Be Liberalized In Pakistan: PFG

The meeting for the inauguration of the Pakistan-Afghanistan Parliamentary Friendship Group (PFG) Executive Committee suggested that the visa regime should be liberalized for Afghans.

The meeting was chaired by National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser and was held at the Parliament House. The issues of the Pakistan-Afghanistan bilateral relationship was discussed in the inaugural meeting.

It was highlighted in the meeting that the trade has a decline of $4 billion dollars. There was a trade of $billion which has decreased to 1 billion dollars.

Both Pakistan and Afghanistan discussed the reasons behind such a drastic decline and how to get over these issues.

Eight task forces have been established in this regard. they have been given 15 days to suggest the resolution to erdicate the bilateral problems both countries are facing.

More so, the committee will meet more frequently. The meeting was attended by defense and maritime affairs ministers, advisers and special assistants to the prime minister on interior and establishment, parliamentarians, Pakistan’s special envoy to Afghanistan and relevant federal secretaries.
