Facebook-owned messaging app ‘WhatsApp’ is working on a feature by which the archived chats will be disappeared after they are not needed, reported.
Website Android Police, by referring WABetainfo, stated that WhatsApp is working to resolve user’s mess of unnecessary conversations.
Currently, many users make a conversation ‘archive’ to organize their app but as per a server-side test, WhatsApp is in the testing phase of doing some improvements to the feature.
At present, users can get back to archived conversations by scrolling to the very bottom of their app. But on receiving a new message in the archived conversation, the chat in question will be removed from the archive list and will be sent back to the top.
WhatsApp is testing a new toggle through which conversations will be stopped from being restored from the archive even when a new message is received, as reported by the website.
The feature, on its availability, can be switched on from the archive screen or by going to Settings > Chats.
After enabled, the archive section will be moved from the bottom of the chat list to the top for easier access, although this may obstruct to some extent.

The feature was marked in WhatsApp beta 2.21.11.1, but being a server-side rollout, it will not be widely accessible till it is launched globally.
