Meesha Shafi Becomes Certified Yoga Instructor

Rockstar, feminist activist, musician, and now a yoga instructor, Meesha Shafi's achievements seem to be non-stop.

To celebrate her recent success, the ‘Reluctant Fundamentalist’ star announced on social media, that it was her dream that had been delayed for many years.

"Today I graduated after finishing 200 hours of yoga teacher training (ytt200hr) and now become a YogaAlliance certified teacher," she stated with pride. It's her long-awaiting wish and luckily, staying indoors during the pandemic made this dream come true, she added.

"For many reasons, being a part of this intensive training during the pandemic was a blessing. It kept me engaged in a practice which not only took great care of my physical, emotional and mental wellbeing but at the same time blessed me with a beautiful sense of belonging to an amazing community of yogis!" she elaborated. She expressed gratitude to the extent to which the yoga teachers in their faculty taught with ancient methods.

Shafi then thanked on the happy occasion. "I’m much grateful for this. Yoga is indeed a gift that keeps on giving," she stated. She further added that her children remain very supportive during her extensive training as to get this qualification, she often studied for long hours.

"I can’t wait to pass on these transformative teachings with all the people which will come my way!" she wrote.
