Private Hajj Pilgrims pay the fee in Dollars

Pakistan International Airlines introduced significant changes in their airfare charges as the private hajj pilgrims pay the airfare charges in dollars.

As per media reports, the airfare for the southern and northern regions of the country will change. For the south area, the cost will range from 860 to 1,100 dollars, and for the north part, the range will be from 860 to 1,150 dollars.

These changes in fares were decided a couple of years ago, but the implementation became impossible due to the restrictions by the novel coronavirus.

The reason for charging in dollars was to reduce the discrepancy in the tickets sold internationally.

If you are travelling on a government scheme, then you have to pay an amount of Rs. 181,000.

This year there will be 297 hajj flights that will operate from eight major cities, including Islamabad, Faisalabad, Karachi, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Lahore, and Peshawar. Due to the delay in announcing the hajj policy, the PIA flights could not operate on 31st May as decided earlier.

As per Hajj policy, 81,000 pilgrims are allowed from Pakistan, divided into the private and government domain.
