Water In Hyderabad Unhealthy For Human Consumption: SEPA
SEPA has revealed that the water in Hyderabad plants is unfit for human consumption.
Sindh Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) has revealed that the water in Hyderabad is unfit for human consumption. This shocking revelation was made after the samples were collected from the Hyderabad filtration plant.
A notice has been issued to the Managing Director of Water and Sanitation Authority (MD WASA) Hyderabad in acquiring them about the poor quality water to the residents.
Naeem Ahmed Mughal, DG SEPA visited the filter plant of WASA located at Jamshoro Road and noticed that the filtration plant was not working properly and the water is not treated.
Most of all, chlorination was not being applied and therefore the water was labeled unfit for drinking.
The referred water six filter beds were not working and the plant's working condition was fragile. The clarifier tanks were filled with mud and were not functioning.

The plant's capacity is to provide 50 million gallons per day. However, right now it is only providing 30 million gallons per day.
