PTA approached Twitter's administration and requested them to block all the accounts which are using in campaigning against Pakistan and its organization.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority approached Twitter's administration and requested them to block all the accounts which are using in campaigning against Pakistan and its organization.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has asked the social media site to take immediate action against accounts involved in spreading misleading information against Pakistan.

This action has been taken after the verification; a number of accounts are involved in sending fake news about Pakistan, Military forces and even on Gulshan-e-Bagh incident.

It is very disappointed a huge number of accounts used in the transmission of fake stories, are verified by Twitter.  The Authority has asked Twitter to take instant action against such accounts as per its guidelines and policies," refer to the PTA's statement.
