TikTok Now Cannot Be Used Through VPN
Lahore High Court has been approached by a citizen on the issue of banning TikTok. The citizen has raised the question of TikTok being used through Virtual Private Networks (VPN) and proxies.
The TikTok was banned in Pakistan on Friday over sharing questionable indecent content on last Friday.
The petitioner also shared his concerns regarding the continued use of the short video-sharing Chinese app though it was banned by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
The petioner requested the court to plead the directives to the government to block access to the app through VPN and proxies.

The authority reveled that the app was banned on October 9 because of cited “complaints from different segments of the society against immoral/indecent content on the video-sharing application”
